Family Getaway Holiday!

If your family is looking for a Holiday Time get-away,    you won’t want to miss a minute of holiday fun in Williamsburg, VA.  You can explore lights, shopping and a ton of Christmas in Williamsburg events, simply relax or immerse yourself in living history.
To please the entire family, you probably should check out The Great Wolf Lodge for your lodging needs.  What you might have thought was just a waterpark is really a spectacular fun family resort.

Besides the 67,000 square foot indoor waterpark, available exclusively to guests, there are so many other activities and attractions to please all ages and sizes. There is a sprawling Arcade, a bowling alley, mini golf course, an outdoor rope course, a Spa just for kids, a 4D environment game and a specially designed Magiquest game that takes guests throughout the entire hotel following clues and solving puzzles to complete the adventure.

One of the more outstanding features of Great Wolf Lodge is the array of dining choices that not only please the fussy youngster palate but provide healthy and fresh options not usually found in “family type”  environments.  In other words, a lot more to offer than pizza and chicken nuggets.

Every year from November 26th to January 1st, Great Wolf Lodge hosts its annual Snowland celebration, where the resort is transformed into a winter wonderland complete with indoor snow showers, spectacular decorations, visits from Santa Clause, “Polar Wolf” Walks, festive activities at North Pole University, a Great Clock Tower Howl-Friday Show, and more.

One of the more spectacular attractions is the world’s only life-size dine-in gingerbread house, where families are invited to celebrate the magic of the season by dining inside. Featuring more than 5,000 candies, 600 pounds of gingerbread dough and 1,320 pounds of sugar, each gingerbread house is baked, iced and candied to absolute perfection, setting the scene for a memorable holiday feast.

Even though you don’t want to miss out on the educational opportunities of Williamsburg, you might just find Great Wolf Lodge is worth an entire get-a-away all by itself.
